As part of our design service, we offer all of our clients an exclusive interior designer free of charge! Our experienced and amazingly skilled interior designer will help transform your new bathroom design to give it the WOW factor it deserves. With over 30 years’ experience in interior design our designer really knows her stuff.

Whether it be the layout, the tile colour or shape, or a niche and how big and where – she has got you covered. Our dedicated interior designer will work closely with you to design your dream bathroom from conception to completion. And give you the customer to option to either come in store to our Mentone design room or if its easier we can even do online via zoom.

There are some amazing new products and ideas on the market these days – walk through showers, frameless glass screen, textured tiles, freestanding baths and shower niches to mention just a few.

The good old bathroom certainly has come a long way these days. It has evolved from something standard and boring to something amazing and wonderful. It was once a ritual to brush your teeth and have a shower but now it’s a space for relaxation and enjoyment – a space to show off to your family and friends.

Our interior designer’s experience spans over 30 years and with 100s of designs under her belt. She is experienced, enthusiastic and professional and takes a holistic approach with all her designs. Our interior designer only designs bathrooms which gives her the advantage when it comes to new ideas, products, concepts and designs.

A few basic do’s and don’ts when it comes to bathroom design:

• Try not to highlight the niche with a different tile. It only enhances the shampoo bottles that live there which are not the feature. Simply use the same type of tile all the way through for greater impact
• Try and plan your bathroom layout so that the first thing you see when walking in the door is the vanity. If there is also a toilet in the room, make sure that is tucked away out of sight.
• Make sure the surfaces are not only appealing to the eye but also low maintenance to keep clean. Reducing the number of painted walls and tiling from floor to ceiling not only looks amazing but keeps having to clean the mould away from the plaster walls.
• Lighting in another very important factor and when it comes to bathrooms you can’t really have enough – you just need to make sure you have the right lighting. As many downlights as required but a feature light can finish it off nicely.

Lastly, OWN IT! Own your design as your bathroom needs to be you, its needs to suit not only your lifestyle but your style. Even if your planning to sell your home down the track – don’t guess what other want or like, design how you want to and others will love it too.
